Hammers Everywhere You Look!
HammerWhat is an example of how I can overdo things. It started out as just a site about hammers. You know, claw hammers, ball pein (ball peen) hammers, tack hammers and sledge hammers. Soon it became eclectic and we add air hammers, corded hammer drills, cordless hammer drills, industrial hammer drills, rotary hammer drills and so on. You get the idea.
Sure we still have that great selection of framing hammers too.
Hammers are one of those things that if you do a lot of mechanical work you need a wide variety of hammers. There are all kinds of specialty hammers too from tack hammers to leather working hammers. There are wood working hammers, dead blow hammers, metal working hammers and so on.
SOME hammers are not even for striking. I mean you don’t want to take your $800 industrial hammer drill and pound in a nail do ya? Of course not. You need a plain old claw hammer for that.
I remember the first time I saw a waffle faced framing hammer. It was heavy. They come in 20oz and more. But the waffle pattern is to keep the slick face of the hammer from sliding off the nail.
This is all well and good until you finally DO miss and make hamburger meat out of your hand. You may notice the similarity between a waffle faced framing hammer and a meat tenderizing hammer. No? Well I hadn’t either until just that moment. Good LORD that hurt! I wonder if you can frame a house with a tack hammer. OK that probably isn’t a good idea.
Anyway, there just about isn’t any way to win here. I could carry hammers and nails. Or rotary hammer drills and drill bits. But nope, I had to be different and have all things with the word HAMMER in the title with the possible exception of a jack hammer. (Although one could slip in!)
Anyway, look around HammerWhat.com and see if you find what you are looking for. I know you will find a great selection at great prices.
