What tool do I need for my brakes?
It's a 1995 Silverado Z71(4x4) 1500. I don't know why, but Chevrolet decided to use a hex head bolt for the brake calipers on their front brakes and I don't have any that size. If any of you have had to do the brakes on this model truck you will know. I'm going to have to buy a set for this and as you all know, set's are almost always incomplete, missing a size here and there.
Oh, one more thing. My ball joints need to be replaced and I see that they are riveted into place. What is the best/easiest way to get these off? I could use an air chisel to get the head of the rivet off and then drill it out but I don't have an air chisel. LoL Any ideas?
You can buy just the size you need which is 3/8". As for the ball joints an air chisel is the best way you will be there all day with a hand chisel and a hammer.
