What is the best AK-47 /74/ etc semi auto gun for around 500? up to 700 if its much better*?
Right now i am looking at a new Bulgarian package for 700, this seems like a great package, should i take it up or are there better things? Is polymer furniture a big negative?
Includes a new BULGARIAN SSR-85 BPG
claiming it accepts all ak magazines/drums from all countries
a tapko buttstock, black polymer furniture
hand guard PICATINNY RAILS
2 30 round magazines, one polymer and the other steel
ICE PADDED BULLDOG BRAND SWAT STYLE RIFLE CASE
ati attachments
ULGARIAN HAMMER FORGED, CHROME LINED 16.5" BB
STAMPED RECEIVER BUT BEING BULGARIAN IT IS A HEAVIER RECEIVER THAN THE INDUSTRY STANDARD 1MM
THEY ALSO CONTAIN SEVERAL MILLED PARTS
Bulgarian AK's are supposed to be of a better quality than other Euro nations. I have black polymer KVAR stock set on my AK, haven't had any issues. I am curious though when they say picatinny rail hand guards if they are talking the POS UTG hand guards rail set. That is a ton of crap and should be replaced immediately if you purchase this, perhaps with an Ultimak m1-b and factory hand guard.
You could always by a SAIGA and have it converted to pistol grip configuration. They make conversion kits for it. It is of the new AK-100 design and is considerably better. It is made by the Izshmash factory, the original AK-47 factory in Russia.
I am not sure about the receiver. The SAIGA and Arsenal Inc. AK's are the only ones I know of that use RPK receivers, which are .5 mm thicker than a standard AK receiver. I don't know if it really makes a difference though.

US $39.95
