my mom pays 30 dollars for internet that is only 1.5 megs dl and .20 kb upload is this a rip off?
could we have higher speed internet for 30 dollars without changing phone services? we have at@t
It all depends on where you live. In my town, we pay AT&T about that much for 5 meg internet, but fifteen miles down the road people pay $45 /mo for 1 meg internet.
If you're out in the country or you live in a small town, chances are there's less availability because there aren't as many customers. This usually results in small contractors providing internet for an area at a higher price.
You could look into switching from DSL to cable internet, which is faster and more stable, but it's hard to come by a cable internet service for under $45/mo.

US $14.69
