Moving from UK to Australia?

My partner and I are trying to migrate to Australia!! We are 28. We did a WHV from 2004-05 and toured the whole of oz and loved it so much we want to go back!
We are trying to go under the "skilled – Independent (Migrant) visa (subclass 175)" - A permanent visa for people with skills in demand in the Australian labour market. Applicants are not sponsored and must pass a points test. My blokie is hoping to come under Graphic Pre-Press Trade.
Has anyone done this? Can you please give me your experience of the TRA test, how long did it take? Any information on this will be great!
Can you give me your time frames from when you applied and when it was accepted and when you actually moved?!

Any other help, tips and advice would be gratefully appreciated!!!

I'm a panelbeater in the UK and me and my fiancee are moving to Sydney in august. To make sure your TRA is success full you must prove that you have had an apprenticeship, In my case i had to prove i did a minimum of a 3 year apprenticeship also i had to get VERY detailed references off all my past employers, they had to write what my day to day tasks were what tools and equipment i used etc, also the employer that did my apprenticeship with also had to state the start date of my apprenticeship who trained me how i progressed over the three years and also they had to say the day i qualified and when they payed me as a skilled panelbeater. I also had to write myself what my day to day tasks were and i also sent images of me working on a job and i also had to send copy's of my qualifications.

It took awhile waiting for all my past employers to get them to write detailed references it was a quite a few months of waiting. Once I had everything i then sent everything off to the TRA that cost me 300 Australian dollars, that took 10 days from when they received it.

be for you apply for your TRA make sure your trade is in demand.

My advice you can not put to much detail in.

Hope i have been some help.
