I am unable to share with a pc in my network from any pc?
there are 5pc total each one I can share from but 1 I can not access from the other 4 one is 2 are xp the other 2 are vista 32 and 64 bit laptops. I keeping getting an error saying the name might be misspelled. But how can that be if the info comes from that computer
Vista uses a different default "workgroup" name than XP did. I think XP uses "MSHOME" as its default workgroup name; change this to match the name of the default workgroup on Vista (I think its "Network", not sure... you can check in Control Panel->Network & Sharing Center->Customize).
Also, make sure that the Vista machines have the location type set to "Private Network" (also in Control Panel->Network & Sharing Center->Customize).
If this doesn't help, then it could be any number of other problems... too many to list or even think of.
