There has to be compromise on both sides. The senate should only offer a bailout if the companies can show they have a viable plan to keep the industry running. Cost-cutting will be necessary on both the management and workers' side.management have agreed to take lower salaries; the Board of Directors have agreed to draw a token salary for twelve months. The UAW needs to be more realistic. What is better? A job on lower wages? Or no job at all?
