What is a good buy of quality multi use drill bits set?

Need to do some work around the house and need to drill into wood, bricks, and maybe tiles. I have a regular electric drill (no hammer mode). The old HSS drill bits set are dull. So I am in the market looking for a set of good value and good quality multi use drill bits set.

The Bosch probably make the best multi-use bits (according to Fine Homebuildings 2010 tool guide) but aren't good bits for any particular surface.

The multi-use bits are good when drilling through different surfaces at once. For example, drilling through drywall attached to metal studs or drilling through tile attached to concrete board attached to wood studs.

You're much better off buying the bits you need for each surface. You don't have to spend a ton of money buying drill bit sets, just buy bits for the applications you need, and in the future buy connectors which require the drill bits you already have.
