Is this a likely reason why Mars seems so barren?
I recently read on NASA's official cite that if there is life on Mars, and other non-Earth terrestrial planets, it's likely primitive or unsophisticated. Which is why I just came up with an idea of my own:
There is life on Mars, but currently only in the form of tiny microbes, because the Martians (as they're commonly called) are STILL evolving. The problem is Mars is further from the sun than Earth, so one Martian year is almost twice and Earth year. It's those handicaps that are forcing Martians to evolve at a much slower rate than homo sapiens (us) did long ago. Yes, I'm still keeping into account of the so-called Martian canals and that gigantic Martian volcano, but they may have not fully developed yet either.
Now that you've heard my idea, do you think it's likely, or do you have an idea of your own why Mars is so dead in appearance?
As we know the proven facts today Mars was similar to Earth early on, but it's gravity couldn't keep the atmosphere from drifting into space, killing anything that might have be living in the process and leaving the planet a barren wasteland
