What kind of drill bits can drill through carbon steel? I'm trying to remove a broken tap made of carbon steel
I tried Irwin, Dewalt, Hitachi, Dremel bits. After several hours, of using multiple brands of a 1/16 inch bit, I have extremely little to show for my effort--not more than a tiny pock mark.
take a little screwdriver and put it in the flutes of the tap the grooves that don't cut and try to screw it out Ive done this a few time and it usually works
