How much litter does a cat use?
We just got a new cat and about a week ago and the 20lb box of arm and hammer double duty is gone already. Is it normal for a cat to use this much litter? All we are doing is cleaning out the clumps and leaving what is left over in the box. When the cat pees the clumps are pretty big like the size of a baseball. I feel like this will get expensive buying cat litter every week. maybe we should change litters?
That is normal and you're cleaning it out right if you want you can experiment with different litters and if you get the same results try getting more of it. Animals are just expensive look around at different places that sell litter too and see what's cheaper.
