How to clean aluminum finish refrigerator damaged by heavy duty oven cleaner?
someone in my house used heavy duty oven cleaner to try to clean my aluminum refrigerator door, and no it has all these white swirls that won't go away. we tried glass cleaner, vinegar, steel polish, baking soda to no avail... i'm thinking this is like physical damage that occurred to the door so it's beyond fixing with elbow grease... any ideas?
it's not really spots that i need to take care of. it's more like huge swirls across the whole fridge door.
At the grocery store you should be able to find Cameo Cleaner, or similar type cleanser for scrubbing aluminum and stainless steel. Make a paste and rub with a wet sponge or damp pad of paper towels. I use it to clean the burnt black crud off my pots and pans and it works well for that.
