Do you think the killer should commit suicide or spend life in prison?
So a murderer kills 4 people intentionally. He's over 21 years old too. Do you think for any murderer would it be better for them to kill themselves or spend life in prison? What's worse? i mean life in prison is already life you're dead to society, forever in prison getting butt raped by a 6'6 300 lb black guy named Bubba. Lets say you killed someone and knew if you lived you'd get life in prison without parole. Would you rather already kill yourself or would you rather spend life in prison?
I would say it would be better if the killer just kills himself.
If the killer was just sentenced to life in prison, there is always the possibility of him escaping. Prison breaks happen all the time. And if and when he does escape, he will most likely kill again. Also, our tax dollars go toward feeding and sheltering people like him who don't deserve it. From the killer's end, if escape is not possible, the remaining 60+ years of his life will be hell (like you said, being butt-raped and beaten by his fellow inmates), and he'll die in there anyway.
If the killer kills himself, the people can rest easy knowing there is one less murderer on our streets, and they don't have to worry about higher taxes to feed and shelter him in that detention facility. From his end, all he would be doing is speeding up the inevitable and avoiding a life of torment, dying now rather than 60+ agonizing years later in a state penitentiary. So, not just for our sake but also his own, suicide would be a better option.
