Poll: What is the worst purchase you ever made thinking back on life?
Was it a yugo, a pair of mc hammer pants? Concert tickets to Milli Vanilli, or a thighmaster?
What were some of the purchases you made in the past that just make you wonder "what the hell was I thinking when I actually spent money on that!!!"??
I wonder if it counts that I once bought the popular girl a xmas present cause I wanted her to like me....I was in the fourth grade and she made fun of it called it stupid until the teacher called her mom.....(and I spent my own money on it and could not believe anyone could be soo mEAN)....it really hurt my feelings but in hindsight I am glad it happened so I never had to worry again about trying to BUY a friend (I couldn't afford to anyway)
But on to more modern purchases
Toss up between the BETA as in betamax machine (no other explanation needed other than VHS- was the winner)
AND
I bought a portable dvd player about 12 years ago when they first came out
it was the panasonic Lv50 and it was 800 bucks. (charged it at sears)
Now they are 90 bucks or so
and every time I look at it I just cringe.
Since I charged it it really cost me about 1200 bucks with the interest.
Agh I just cringe I think I might just throw it away so I dont hve to keep bumping into it
(I htink it is worth about 8 bucks now on ebay)
