It takes years to be proficient... as for being a master, no one actually becomes a master, striving to be the best you can be is a personal goal. When you have students that learn from you, then you are their master/teacher/sifu. You in their eyes are the master, though personally you are still growing and learning. The only time you really stop learning is when you die, only then you'll realized that you've accomplished all you can be. (At least on this mortal plain)
