solid mid range telecom kit with tester/remote;110 punch; rj-45/11crimp.? iN Between cheap plastic and paladin
I am starting to do wired home networks for people and I am looking for a telecom kit with the basic, yet solid tools. I can spend up to 200 US dollars. Maybe I am completle wrong and I should by the items separately? Thanks in advance
It's most likely going to cost you less to get a tool kit. If you price out a 110 punch down tool and RJ-45/11 crimpers, they are going to put you near your limit already. A 110 punch down tool runs about $70 on average and a crimper is about $25-$40, depending on the quality of the crimper you get. You can get purchase these tools at Lowes or Home Depot (they are on the cheaper end).
I'd suggest checking out one of the links below for a decent Telecom starter kit. Of course, one's on E-Bay. For the second link, check out kit #500-021, #500-046, and/or #500-031. Unfortunately, $200 isn't much to spend on telecom tools.
