Is special way to insert a low pressure power steering hose for a 96 chevy blazer?

Been struggling with it for a while now. I've been searching on google, etc if there is.

I feel it tighten when I turn it and then it stops half way. Only noticed it when i started my car and it poped off.

When i try to tighten it further then the half way it either jumps off. Sometimes when i try and tighten it it doesn't even engage the threads to tighten. Im at a loss here as what to do. It's in a very aqward place where only a modified stubby< with closed head blot side cutt off> or a crowfoot. When I removed it originally it was stripped near a perfect circle by the pervious owner so I had to use a vise grip tightened like mad and a couple of taps from a hammer it even losen.

Thanks for all your guys/girls help. Can't wait till this is done and my truck is drivable again. lol dont you just hate it when it's the last part thats not only the most difficult but the only thing thats stopping you from finishing the job. ;)
P.s. its the pump side that has the problem.

Hi, I have a 95 but I've never had a problem with the PSing so I'm kinda at a loss as my manuals are at my garage and I'm not there. Try giving the guys over at blazerforum.com a post and probably someone can tell you. Look for swartlkk... he's very knowledgable.

Thanks for looking at our Stubby Hammer information.
