whats the best all around rotary hammer for the price?
for 300 dollars ish or less whats the best all around rotary hammer, for chipping concrete, using the clay spade and drilling holes in concrete for anchors and whatnot. the bosch bull dog looks good , its about 200 dollars. i am not sure what size eather 7/8s up to 2 inch , whats the best
Bosch is known for great Rotary Hammers. Some have the chipping feature you want, however the smaller hammers (SDS) will limit your drilling capacity to 1" diameter holes. The larger Rotary Hammers (SDS MAX) will allow you to go up to 2" and make quick work of larger projects for chipping tile,concrete,etc.
DeWalt also makes a good Rotary Hammer.
The important thing is to buy a Tool that parts are readily available for it such as switches,brushes, etc.
Ryobi,Hitachi,and some of the cheaper brands you find on special at the big box stores take forever to get parts and some you can never get parts for them.
