convert a bosch drill to sds?
i have a bosch 110v drill model no: gsb 22-2re which currently has a keyless chuck is there any way of taking that chuck off and fitting an sds one i know you can get a converter that goes in the existing chuck but it makes it very long i would like for it to just be an sds drill.
just checked down the chuck and there i nothing i can undo it is more or less all smooth with no fixing screw/ bolt etc.
As Valmiki said there is probably a screw at the bottom of the chuck, it will oppisite hand to a normal screw though.
By adding an SDS chuck, this won't make a SDS drill, the hammer action and clutch on a SDS drill work differently.
YOu can however by a Makita SDS drill for about £100 from most good tool merchants. I had one it lasted me for years with good maintenance.
