When installing blinds, what sort of anchor should i use on drywall over cement/cinder block walls?
The title says it all really- I am installing some lightweight IKEA blinds and did not realize the drywall would have brick just behind it. I have only ever used the plastic anchors for drywall before so I don't know what to get in order to hang the blinds. I also don't have any masonry bits for my drill, so if its not obvious please help me pick out the right size bit so I can install the anchor. Thanks.
You will need a masonry drill bit to anchor into the cement block. Plastic anchors about the same size as the drill bit are used. Tap the anchors into the hole. They don't need to be very tight because they will expand when the screw is screwed in.
