Hitachi Large Screen Rear Projection 60" TV (60EX38B) . The picture and sound turn off randomly. Please help.
This is a Hitachi 60" rear projection TV, and it is about 7-8 years old. It is not a HDTV. It a simple rear projection TV. It was working perfectly until the last few months back, the picture started to shake just a tiny bit some times. Then the shaking got worse and the whole picture would shake rapidly and then return to nomal.
I have to remind you that the problem (even back then) was not continouns), but the screen would shake just randomly.
Ok, so lets get on with the present condition.
Right now the sound and the picture turn off randomly and more often. The whole screen goes blank with no sound, and one of the cures for that is just sit back and wait, or turn the TV on and off rapidly in some cases.
Once again, this TV is working perfectly (other than this problem).
But the problem is getting worse day by day. I even checked all of the connections going in and out of the TV. They are fine.
So please help me solve this problem.

Symptom: INTM SHUTDOWN
Cause: DEFECTIVE Q909, C944,D932
Symptom: LOSS OF PWR
Cause: REPLACE D927
Symptom: PIC DISTORTED PIP OK
Cause: REPLACE XX02-XX03-IX01
The last one may cause the jumping in the picture, but I suspect you have bad vertical caps around your Video jungle, or it could be bad caps in your sync separator too....
