How do I remove peel and stick carpet tiles that have been glued down with heavy duty glue?
We glued down peel and stick carpet with a heavy duty glue. Now the time has come we want to remove it. The piece we did get up pulled up part of the subfloor. I was wondering how we can remove it with as little damage to the subfloor as possible. If you have had experience with this, I would love your input.

Safer and effective way to do this is to use your home iron. Warm up the carpet tile and the glue also will get tacky. Cutting it into smaller sections will also make it easier to remove. Start by pulling on the end and work towards the middle. Use vise grips if you need to just to get a solid grip on the material. Hope this helps.
